PowerPC Board Delivers Plethora Of Features

The MIP860 PowerPC-based CPU board offers a 100 BaseT Ethernet interface via an RJ-45 twisted pair connector on the front panel. It provides a total of 12 serial interfaces, eight of which are routed to the front panel and four are routed to the P2 connector.
Standard features include a real-time clock, a watchdog timer, a BDM debug interface for board maintenance, and a JTAG port. The board supports up to 16 MB of SDRAM, up to 8 MB of flash, and 8 or 16 MB of SRAM.
For boot ROM, a 32-pin JEDEC is provided that supports flash or EPROM. Conformal coating is offered as an option as well as an extended temperature version that operates from -40°C to 85°C. Board support packages are offered for VxWorks, pSOS+ and OS-9 as well as support for other operating systems. Pricing is $1,664.
