Featuring IEEE P1451.4 Transducer Electronic Data Sheet capabilities, the Model 61C lightweight, peizoelectric accelerometer integrates electronics into its design and is available in a 100 mV/g version (61C12) and 1 V/g version (61C13). Both reportedly offer excellent resolution, dynamic range and frequency response, while also maintaining excellent phase characteristics over the entire operating frequency range. They are also said to withstand the rough environment found in laboratories without sustaining internal damage. And they can be mounted using adhesives or a proprietary scheme that reduces setup time during installation and calibration—signal ground is isolated from the mounting surface. Any signal analyzer with a 2 to 10 mA constant current supply can power the accelerometers. A variety of signal conditioners are also available for use with the accelerometers.
