Claiming an industry first, the Venice 6, a 4-in-1 digital-radio module, is capable of receiving Internet radio, DAB, FM, and music streamed from a PC. It is said to be the first product to integrate a WiFi, DAB, and FM front-end together with an on-board WiFi antenna in a single module, enabling audio manufacturers to produce low-cost, feature-rich radios for a global market. Applications include portable and alarm clock radios, CD micro systems, boom boxes, and Hi-Fi tuners. The module measures 107 mm x 40 mm and employs the company's Chorus 2i processor. It streams media in a variety of formats and protocols including MP3, Windows Media Audio and Real Audio and integrates an intuitive user interface to switch between the four operation modes. Additionally, it provides access to over 10,000 Internet radio stations plus a wide selection of podcasts with a few key presses, accessible through a vTuner Internet Portal.
