Specially engineered to lend itself to quick integration into PLLs, the SMV2330L surface-mount, low-profile voltage-controlled oscillator is well-suited for demanding W-CDMA basestation applications. The device generates frequencies between 2,300 and 2,360 MHz within a control voltage range of 0.5 to 2.5 Vdc, allowing the error voltage to be taken directly from the IC's charge pump circuitry.
Measuring only 0.3" x 0.3" x 0.08", the device saves pc board space while drawing only 8 mA of current from a 2.7 Vdc supply. The device is also well-suited for automated surface-mount assembly and reflow soldering and is priced at $15.95 each.
