With the same footprint as a standard 2 x 5 Small Form Factor (SFF) optical transceiver, the firm's SFF socket enables OEMs of communication equipment to stuff circuit boards with sockets only. They can then install any 2 x 5 SFF transceiver- from any manufacturer- that meets the current needs of their customers or production environment. The sockets feature press-fit retaining clips to hold transceivers securely while adding EMI grounding. The socket is a member of the firm's family of SFF pluggable optical transceiver solutions. Pluggability enables OEMs to select and install transceivers late in the game.
