Module Enhances Any PC/104 SBC The MPC555 module can interface with any PC/104 computer board to provide 24 digital I/O lines, sixteen 12-bit analog input lines, and three 16-bit counter/timer channels. The module also includes eight user LEDs and four general-purpose readable jumpers. An option adds eight 12-bit analog output lines. Its analog input section integrates a complete data acquisition system with software programmable full-scale ranges of 5V, 10V, ±5V, and ±10V. The digital I/O lines are TTL level, and can source and sink up to 2.5 mA each. An analog output option adds four or eight d/a converters with 10V, full-scale outputs. Both analog inputs and outputs can support data rates up to 100 kHz. The module includes documentation, a disk with C example programs, and a device driver for Linux. Single-unit price starts at $265. An industrial temperature (-40°C to +85°C) version is also available starting at $275 and 4- and 8-channel analog output options are $95 and $175 each, respectively.
