Created to reduce time to market, the DC/DC conversion breadboards are available for use with the ZXRD1000 series DC/DC controller ICs. These demonstration boards can be supplied in versions to drive either N-channel or P-channel MOSFETs and are available in synchronous SimpleSync) or non-synchronous (step-down) configurations.
The boards are said to offer the user some re-configurablity to provide fixed 3.3V and 5V outputs or 2V to 10V or 14V adjustable outputs. Efficiency of greater than 95% is claimed when using the ZXRD series supported with the SimpleSync drive circuit. By using a mutually coupled inductor and ferrite bead, synchronous MOSFET driving can be achieved with a single PWM controller output.
To those that qualify, the company will provide a breadboard, customized to the user's requirements, free of charge.
