High reliability in a low-profile, low-cost package describes both the SCT401 and SCT601 triple-output power supplies. Members of the SC Series of ac-dc supplies, the new models have outputs of +5V, +3.3V and a floating 12V. The latter can be used as either a +12V or -12V output. The triple output design increases the flexibility of the supplies and makes them well-suited for many boards transitioning to a mixture of 3.3- and 5-V ICs. For tighter regulation on the 5- and 3.3-V outputs, the supplies utilize magnetic amplifier (magamp) control. The SC Series, which is primarily used for LAN/WAN switching systems, fits the 3" by 5" industry standard footprint with 1" and 1.5" profiles suitable for 1U rack systems. All SC series products provide overvoltage and short circuit protection. The supplies start at $40 per 100 pieces.
