April 1, 2001

Accommodating a variety of chassis sizes, this new line of CompactPCI backplanes are available in 3U, 4U, 6U and 7U formats ranging from 5.25" to 12.25" in height. Constructed using a combined stripline and microstrip technique with 100% level 3 testing, the backplanes are compliant with IEEE 1101.10 and 1101.11 and can be configured with two to 16 slots.
Those configured with more than five slots operate at 33 MHz and those containing five or fewer operate at either 33 MHz or 66 MHz. The 6U board contains 10 layers and power blocks, while the 7U format offers 12 layers and ATX style connectors. All of the aforementioned formats come with AB shrouds.
