Providing a low-impedance path from the connector shell to the faceplate for grounding and reduced EMI emissions, the company's IEEE 1394 horizontal connector, through-pin gaskets are made of copper beryllium and are soldered directly to the printed-circuit board. Contact with the connector shell and faceplate is accomplished when the board is fit into its housing. The gaskets fit all IEEE horizontal connectors and accommodate a wide range of connector protrusion positions. A variety of plating finishes are also available.
