By way of a VIA Eden processor running at 400 MHz to 733 MHz, the Hercules-EBX is claimed as first EBX board that integrates a Pentium 3 class processor, DC/DC power supply, and data acquisition within a single EBX board measuring 5.75" x 8". Operating system support includes Linux, Windows 98/2000/XP, VxWorks, DOS, and QNX. Aiming at transportation and military/aerospace applications, the board operates over a temperature range from −40°C to +85°C. Features include fan-less operation from 400 MHz to 550 MHz, 128 MB to 256 MB of RAM, LCD and CRT support, AC97 audio, 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet, and a large array of standard I/O. Price is $880 each/100.
