This firm announces its OptIC SMT optoelectronics product family for datacom and telecom platforms. These products include laser and PIN photodiodes. The OptIC design eliminates special handling of parts, including lead bending and hand soldering. Components can be used in standard pick-and-place board assembly and standard reflow solder processes. These products are said to be well-suited for fiber-to-the-home and fiber-to-the-curb applications.
