Based on a Pentium III processor, the CPC2 is a CompactPCI single-slot standalone PC. It offers a full complement of standard PC I/Os, including four 100BaseTX, two USB, and a SCSI port. Over 1 Gbyte of mass storage is available from on-board CompactFlash.

For SVGA, Asiliant's 69030 AGP-compatible graphics controller with 4 Mbytes of internal SDRAM is provided. One Intel 82559 single-chip Ethernet controller provides full-duplex 10/100BaseTX support, and four more are available on the RIO. Two COM ports can be independently set for RS-232 or RS-422/485. Other standard features include LPT1, a keyboard, a mouse, and a watchdog timer. Operating systems, including Windows NT, Windows 2000, VxWorks, Linux, Embedded NT, RTX, QNX, and Solaris, can run autonomously.

With a 500-MHz Pentium III, 128 Mbytes of SDRAM, and no SCSI, the CPC2 costs $2700 in single quantities.
