Designers seeking terminal blocks for large-pitch, high-amp applications can look to the 8486 Top series. These fixed 8486 Top series. These fixed-terminal blocks are designed in two-, three-, or four-pole versions, with a 7.62-mm pitch spacing. Their top-mount wire entry feature is ideal for wiring the block where access is limited. The series is UL-rated for 300-V, 30-A operation for stranded and solid wire, sizes 22 to 10 AWG (VDE-rated for 36 A). Each block is equipped with two individual solder tails per pole. Manufactured of rugged polyamide 6.6 plastic material, the parts are rated to UL 94V-0 flammability standards. They provide individual marking tag facilities for quick connection identification. Pricing for the 8486 Top series pc-board terminal blocks starts at $2.10 each.
