10U Rack-Mount Enclosure Cradles 21-Slot Backplanes

The RME21 CoolSlot 10U rack-mount enclosure is available with 21-slot CompactPCI PICMG 2.16, VME64x, or VME backplanes. Air-deflecting card guides eliminate cooling "dead spots" on boards and provide more uniform airflow throughout the system. A 1000- or 1600-W embedded supply powers the unit. It can also be wired for three 600-W ac or dc hot-swap power supplies. A hot-swap removable fan tray delivers a cooling capacity of over 85 W/slot. The unit allows the optional mounting of three 5.25-in. peripherals or two buried hard drives. Available now, prices start at $3995.
