Mission-critical applications can take advantage of a recent 20-slot CompactPCI backplane and its large-scale capacity. The unit is a 23-in. wide, 8U high carrier-class enclosure. Six 250-W hot-swappable power supplies provide up to 1250 W of redundant power. The backplane supports a center-mounted processor board and one bridge board. Four hot-swappable fans mounted below the card cage and four hot-swappable blowers mounted above the card cage ensure superior cooling. Dual ac inputs provide greater redundancy in case of power failure. The 23-in. wide enclosure costs $8895 with six 200-W power supplies.
