Four 1.3-GHz G4 7457 PowerPC processors power the 6U VME-based Manta QX. The board handles up to 2 Gbytes of 133-MHz double-data-rate SDRAM. It also incorporates StarFabric interfaces with an aggregate throughput of 400 Mbytes/s. Additional peripheral interfaces include a pair of Gigabit Ethernet ports, four serial ports, two IEEE 1394 ports, and a 64-bit, 66-MHz PMC (PCI mezzanine card) slot. Manta QX pricing starts at $10,000.
