Embedded: Dev Kit Supports 8051 Line

The UniVersaKit (UVK) targets its the Versa mixed-signal and low-cost flash, 8051-based microcontroller families. The board includes 3.3- and 5-V voltage regulators, a serial port, switches, eight user LEDs, an I²C-based EEPROM, and a piezo buzzer. On-chip peripherals and I/O pins are easily accessible. Expansion options include a character LCD display. The UVK costs $99.

I earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Masters in Computer Science from Rutgers University.
