Sensors Measure Low Pressure Precisely

Aug. 10, 2007
Honeywell's ASDXL and ASDXL DO series pressure sensors are designed for precision pressure-management applications requiring measurements of low pressures.

The ASDXL and ASDXL DO series pressure sensors are fully calibrated and temperature compensated with on-board ASIC circuitry. They're designed for precision pressure-management applications requiring measurements as low as 5 and 10 in. H2O and up to 100 psi. The ASDXL DO features a digital output, which offers better clarity and response times and easier interfacing with the application. The sensor provides digital correction of the offset, sensitivity, temperature coefficients, and non-linearity. The ASDXL version is amplified, with an analog output span of 2.0 or 4.0 V dc.

Both models are available for absolute, differential, and gauge pressure measurements. All the devices feature accuracy to ±2.0% full-scale and operate from a single 5.0-V dc supply. The sensors come in a standard dual-inline package (DIP) with compact footprints and are designed and manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. They are intended for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids, such as air and dry gases. Potential applications include medical equipment, HVAC controls, barometry, and pneumatic controls.
