By including all of the bias circuitry, a pair of fully monolithic cascode RF amplifiers greatly simplify RF designs for 100-MHz to 2.5-GHz applications. The inclusion of on-chip bias circuitry also provides enhanced temperature stability. The MRFIC0915 and MRFIC0916 amplifiers save pc board space by incorporating several off-chip circuits. Cascode amplifiers are used in many RF functional blocks such as VCOs, buffer amplifiers, LNAs, mixers and IF amplifiers. The MRFIC0915 is a lower bias-current version (2.5 mA) of the MRFIC0916, which has a bias current of 5.6 mA at a supply voltage of 2.7 V.
