Designed for through-hole mounting of LEDs, incandescent lamps, DIP switches, photo sensors and other leaded components, these sockets are at right angles to boards and come in a variety of configurations. For vertical or horizontal orientation, typical configurations include 2 to 64 pins with 0.100-, 0.300-, 0.400-, 0.600- or 0.900-inch centers. The right-angle solder tails are made from alloys that maintain their position and withstand insertion and withdrawal forces. The solder tails come in various lengths to accommodate vertical or horizontal orientation, along with height extensions up to 3.2 inches. The sockets have BeCu contacts, and their standard insulators are made of UL-94V-0 plastic for high temperature soldering.
