Powered by a 450-MHz Intel Pentium II processor, the VXIpc-870/450 series of embedded VXI controllers delivers superior VXI and PC performance said to be unmatched by any other VXI controller on the market. It delivers more than twice the performance of the firm's VXIpc-860/200, a 200-MHz Pentium Pro embedded controller and is also priced 40% lower than its predecessor. The C-size, two-slot VXIpc-870 Series takes full advantage of the Intel Slot 1 microprocessor family without compromising performance or space. It is fully VXIplug&play compliant and is compatible with all Windows 95/98/NT software, including firm's LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI applications software, TestStand test executive software, and NI-VXI/NI-VISA bus interface software. All models feature a 3.5" floppy drive, Super VGA, USB, PS2 keyboard and mouse, serial and parallel ports, and 64 Mbytes of SDRAM. The Slot1 architecture lets users upgrade the VXIpc-870 CPU as Intel develops faster microprocessors.
