Low noise, low quiescent current, reverse-bias protection, and highly accurate line and load regulation are all features of the TK715 Series of low-dropout voltage regulators. The miniature SOT23-3 devices save board space for applications in wireless communication products, calculators, musical instruments, PDAs, radio-controlled systems, test equipment, and toys. The regulators offer a very low dropout voltage of 105 mV (typical) at a 50-mA load current. And their low quiescent current of 25 µA enables portables to run longer for a given amount of battery power. In addition, the devices provide short-circuit protection, as well as high ripple rejection. Operating voltage range is from 1.8V to 12V with output current of 100 mA. There are 30 standard output voltages available from 2V to 5V in 0.1V increments. There's also an 8V version available.
