Waveform Generator Aids Wireless Designers

Oct. 1, 1998

The HP E2747A/48A is a baseband vector waveform generator that is said to enable wireless designers to get to market faster with personal communication systems, satellite-based phone and data systems, and more. The unit acts as a configurable signal source for rapid prototyping. It affords users the ability to generate a variety of new signal types on multiple channels for testing emerging wireless products. The test unit consists of a DSP carrier board that uses a vector waveform generator module and preconfigures it into an easy-to-operate PC format. Alternatively, the module can be used by VXI system developers to create their own custom units.
