IDC Connectors Sit On Tiny Footprint

Oct. 1, 1998

Featuring an extremely small footprint of 1.0 x 2.0 x 4.5 mm, Series SSR disconnectable wire-to-board IDC connectors are targeted at a broad array of surface-mount applications. The IDC section that connects to each wire has dual U-slots, providing redundancy for reliable connections, even under conditions of adverse environmental and mechanical stress. A three-point insulation grip feature provides strain relief, and the header is designed for vacuum pick-and-place robotics. The connectors can accommodate from 2 to 13 circuits and have an operating temperature range of -25°C to 85°C. Contacts are tin-plated phosphor bronze and are rated at 0.5A dc (50 vdc).
