In Hot-Stage, a set of tools for pc board and MCM prototype design, engineers will find an environment that provides creative freedom even as it gives them guidance on the physical implementation of their project with respect to manufacturability, materials and interconnect delays. Closely integrated with the company's System Designer schematic-entry tools, Hot-Stage is quickly able to assign design parameters, such as crosstalk, interconnect delays, net topologies and overshoot limits to selected nets.Among the package's key features are its net topology editor, a graphics environment in which the designer gains an appreciation for how a net is connected and can eliminate potential errors. There's also a layer stack editor that provides a visual check on the construction of the board or substrate. The tools are for Windows NT and Unix.
