The VX-120T single-board codec transmits full-motion or still-frame video and requires only an external power source, while its companion VX-120P receiver board provides full codec operation without the need for a PC or other processing. Video is compressed in the JPEG format at the transmitting end and decompressed at the receiving end. Line interfaces include X.21 and TTL. Board dimensions are 120 x 100 x 17 mm. The M-JPEG compression algorithm is effective when transmitting full-motion video over high-speed digital networks at rates of 2 to 10 Mbps.
