Bus Analyzers Debug PCI Systems

Sept. 1, 1998

A family of full-featured, plug-in PCI-Bus analyzer boards let designers debug and characterize the complete spectrum of PCI design and performance needs on virtually any PCI architecture running under any operating system. The TA200 Series 32- and 64-bit analyzers are available to provide 32-kbit and 64-kbit data captures, respectively. Units come with or without an optional daughter card that provides even greater capability, including display of bus performance analysis in six-color histograms and bar graphs, measuring bus events in cycle duration or number of transitions, displaying protocol errors linked to text, and more. Standard functions include instant capture mnemonics, user-defined mnemonics, PCI protocol and performance analyses, and comparison of output files and conversion to ASCII and more.
