PCB Thermostats Withstand High Temps

May 1, 1999

Said to offer the most precise reset point on the market, the 802 Series of pc board-mountable thermostats is designed to provide accurate thermal management in a TO-220 package. Conforming to the international Y220/TO-220 package standard, the devices can withstand the high temperatures encountered in power supplies and other applications. These single-pole, single-throw switch devices are available in either open or closed versions. Other features include: an operating temperature range of 40°C to 110°C; a rated life of 30,000 cycles at 48 vdc, 1A resistive and 120VA, 1A resistive; and dielectric strength of 1500 vac for one minute. The series also has UL and CUL approval, with VDE approval pending.
