Single-Board Computer Fits Into 6U Slots

Based on a PowerPC 750 processor running at an internal clock rate of up to 400 MHz, the SMARTengine/750cPCI-6U single-board computer is in a single-slot CompactPCI 6U form factor. The board is intended for high-speed applications such as telecommunications, networking and industrial control; however, it can be integrated into any CompactPCI application.The board is said to incorporate all aspects of an independent processing subsystem. This includes CPU, memory, I/O functions and firmware. The CPU is supplemented by up to 1 Mbyte of Level 2 cache. Multiple I/O features include two 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports. The board can run real-time operating systems including pSOS and VxWorks.
