Well-suited for power supply circuits, instrumentation and infrared detectors, the HR Series of chip resistors comes in 1206, 1005 and 0805 sizes with values from 100 Megaohms to 50 Gigaohms and tolerances of ±5%. With rectangular shape and small dimensions and tape-and-reel packaging, the resistors are compatible with automated assembly methods. These thick-film resistors are printed onto an alumina substrate and covered with an insulating glaze and an organic coating for environmental protection. The chips have wrap-around terminations that can withstand 30 seconds of immersion in solder up to 260°C, which allows the chips to be mounted on one side of a board with other, wire leaded components mounted on the other side. The chips are also available with planar terminations.
