Pluggable Blocks Made Fast Interconnects

Nov. 1, 1999

By employing insulation displacement connection (IDC) technology, the QUiX-Combicon family of pluggable printed circuit board terminal blocks is said to make connections faster than any other blocks available today. Interconnections are made simply by inserting the wire into a slot and actuating a lever. Because no wire preparation is required, wiring time can be reduced by 60%, it's claimed. Utilizing a 0.200" pin spacing, QUiX-Combicon terminal blocks are designed to mate with all industry standard 0.200" pc board mount headers.
