Pentium-Based SBC Takes Little Space

The PCM-5820 is a Cyrix-based single-board computer for space-critical applications. The board features a Pentium MMX-class CPU with a VGA/LCD interface, audio, 10/100Base-T Ethernet connectivity, a CompactFlash card socket and a connector for up to 64 Mbytes of RAM- all on a 3.5" platform.The board is said to offer relatively low power consumption that enables smaller, fanless end-product designs. Optional bundled Windows CE is available to significantly reduce licensing and development time and cost. The unit is suited for harsh environments in which solid-state storage is required.
