Angled Jack Increases Accessibility

Dec. 1, 1999

The AngleJack series of modular jacks provide a 45° angled design for increased accessibility and lower stress on the attached cables. Well-suited for wall plate and patch panel installations, these jacks use a standard footprint for easy drop-in replacement into existing board designs. AngleJacks meet or exceed EIA/TIA Category 5 performance specs and do not require multi-layer pc board compensation. The 8-position RJ-45 connectors come in shielded and unshielded versions with a choice of 30 or 50 microinches of gold plating. Contacts are wire-formed for superior mechanical and electrical performance.
