SMT Tactile Switch Keeps A Low Profile

Jan. 1, 2000

Measuring only 4.7 x 4.7 mm and offering an ultra-low profile of just 0.47 mm, B3B tactile switch was developed to meet the demands for producing more compact, slim and lightweight products. High-density mounting saves pc board space, and the switches’ dust-sealed construction provides hi-rel operation in a variety of environments. Specs include: a switching capacity of 1 to 20 mA, 5 to 15 vdc; minimum insulation resistance of 100 milliohms at 100 vdc; minimum life expectancy of 50,000 operations; and an ambient operating temperature range of -25°C to 70°C. Applications include portable electronics, security products, and appliances. The switches are available on 6000-piece tape-and-reels or in a 12,000-piece master pac.
