Currently available in a 900-MHz version with other frequencies soon to follow, the TR-XXX-SC transceiver module features a direct interface for analog or digital information, UART-compatible data output, RSSI, on-board TX/RX switch, SAW front-end filter, and more. In addition, fast settling and turn-around times, along with support of data rates to 33.6 kbps, make the transceiver well-suited for use in a wide range of bi-directional communications applications. The device comes in a 1" x 1.5" through-hole package and is said to operate over a wide voltage range and to require no tuning or external RF components (except antenna), allowing for a straightforward integration into systems.
