SMT Test Points Simplify Production Testing

May 1, 2000

Supplied on tape-and-reel for ease of handling and use, the firm has developed both miniature and compact surface-mount test points. Miniature test points are manufactured using .010 tin lead plated phosphor bronze and are mounted on an 8-mm wide conductive polycarbonate carrier tape that meets ANSI/EIA-481 standards. Compact test points are manufactured using tin lead plated .015 phosphor bronze. Both the miniature and compact test points feature an ultra low profile suited to advanced surface-mount pc board applications. The contacts simplify testing on dense SMT circuit boards and are well-suited for use with miniature probes, clips and hooks. The parts are positioned on 4-mm centers and packaged on 7-in. reels with 1000 pieces per reel. Call for pricing.
