The PALM-DT-8810 SurfBoard development board supports system-on-a-chip (SOC) design teams working with the company's PalmPak fast SOC integration platform. The board features the PalmPak platform pre-programmed in an Altera, high-density APEX 400 PLD.

The PALM-DT-8810 SurfBoard development board supports system-on-a-chip (SOC) design teams working with the company's PalmPak fast SOC integration platform. The board features the PalmPak platform pre-programmed in an Altera, high-density APEX 400 PLD. In addition to the Altera device, the board's hardware also includes an ARM7TDMI processor, common peripheral and I/O connectors, and an alphanumeric LCD. Four mezzanine connectors can be used for mounting daughterboards containing other embedded processors. Software includes all register definitions and common hardware interface functions and helps users develop device drivers and applications. An audio codec is included for applications requiring sound, such as MP3 players, VoIP controllers, or Bluetooth baseband controllers. Single unit pricing is $6,000.
