Designers of portable applications can extend the life of batteries while reducing board space with a new family of low-voltage comparators and op amps. The new family, the LMV3xx, includes three comparators and three op amps (single, dual, and quad) that leverage the company's BiCMOS process. The devices operate with single-supply voltages ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V. The new comparators require just 60 µA per channel.
