Sporting a 1206 form factor, the nanoSMD series of PolySwitch resettable fuses handle operating currents up to 1.5A and voltages up to 6V. The new series of fuses are 40% smaller than the company's microSMD fuse which are claimed to be the industry's smallest.
The fuses present a typical on-board resistance of 80 milliohms, making them suitable for applications such as notebook PCs, monitors, motherboards, USB hubs, and other peripherals. Samples of the nanoSMD are available in tape-and-reel packages.
Pricing is $0.25 each/100,000. The series will be available in production quantities in October, 2000 with delivery times of two to four weeks ARO.
