Celeron-Based SBC Boots With SmartView BIOS

Introduced as a Pentium-based embedded board with VGA/LCD, Ethernet, audio and SmartView BIOS, the SBC836VEA single-board computer lets the LCD setup include 16 VGA settings in CMOS. Also included are display-during-post and display-after-post functions for point-of-sale and kiosk applications. For audio, the board has an ESS Solo-1 1938 32-bit PCI 2.1 AudioDrive controller supporting 32-bit Sound Blaster/Sound Blaster Pro, 16-bit stereo A/D and D/A converters with full duplex operation for simultaneous record and playback. An on-board SMI Lynx721M4 AGP-2x provides VGA support with CRT/LCD/TV in-out capability, and dual independent display support for CRT + LCD, dual LCD, CRT or TV, and LCD + TV. Also included is a TV input/output function supporting NTSC and PAL formats, a external CRT box-header, and external S-video and RCA connectors.
