Packaged for vertical mounting, the new 8100 Series common mode chokes are designed to reduce EMI noise. Epoxy bonding onto a 94-VO rated fixed header provides a high level of mechanical strength and makes for easy insertion into a pc board.
The chokes consist of a single-layer wound around a high permeability core with a high self-resonant frequency to deliver high attenuation uniformly at low to high frequency ranges. They can be used in a wide range of applications, including switching power supplies in computer, digital TVs, VCRs, DVD players, battery chargers, and industrial electronics and instrumentation.
Performance spcifications for the 8100 Series include an inductance range from 1 to 50 mH, an operating temperature range of -55°C to 105°C, and dielectric strength of 1,500Vrms.
Prices range between $2.16 and $6.48 each/500. Lead time is about 8 to 10 weeks.
