Powered by CompactPCI (cPCI) motherboard technology from Sun Microsystems, the voxbox IP development tool claims to enable network/telecomm equipment providers to rapidly design and deploy their voice over internet protocol (VoIP) solutions. Containing all the components necessary for developing VoIP applications, the system includes: Sun's CP1500-360 cPCI motherboard with a 360-MHz processor and Solaris operating system; Performance Technologies' T1/E1/J1 WAN board (cpc380); and a Blue Wave Systems' ComStruct DSP board (cpci/c6400).
The system comes in a portable chassis and includes a 235-W power supply and an H.110 backplane.
