Jan. 1, 2001
Fully compliant with Intel's latest voltage regulator module (VRM) specification, the CS5303 three-phase buck controller IC is said to be the first such device to integrate six on-chip synchronous gate drivers and an active current sharing algorithm.

Fully compliant with Intel's latest voltage regulator module (VRM) specification, the CS5303 three-phase buck controller IC is said to be the first such device to integrate six on-chip synchronous gate drivers and an active current sharing algorithm. This integrated architecture saves board space, lowers overall cost, and simplifies power supply design for high-performance, next generation processors.
The active current sharing method provides closed-loop feedback for each channel to ensure that the load current is equally distributed. Available in a 28-pin SOIC package, price is $4.81 each/100,000.
