Backplane Has 16 PICMG-Compliant Slots

In two separate, bridgeable eight-slot segments, the company's new 6U cPCI backplane provides 16 PICMG 2.0 Rev. 3.0 compliant slots. Also featured are two Positronic 47-pin power supply connectors with an option for a total of four connectors, one power tap for each 3.3V and 5V supply line, two power taps each for VI/O and ground, and fast-on blades for ±12V.
Other features include an 8-layer controlled-impedance stripline design, 2-oz. copper power and ground, UL recognized 94V-0 printed circuit board, the logical slot #1 system controller that is left justified, and 18-pin utility connectors.
