Up to 75W per module and up to 900W in fault tolerant arrays are promised by dc/dc converters produced using a new power conversion architecture. Boasting of an effective power conversion density of 188W/in.3, the low-profile (0.35"), small-footprint (2.28"L x 0.5"W), through-the-board mounting PowerStick converters employ a wraparound aluminum body, available in a variety of options, to provide integral cooling in a broad range of applications and thermal environments. The rugged, environmentally-sealed and electrically-shielded PowerSticks maintain the complete feature set of the company's 2nd Generation converters and are said to deliver twice the power of 30W-40W SIP-type packages and twice the power density of larger quarter-brick modules. The first members of the PowerStick family are 48V devices for delivering 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.0V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5.0V or 12V and having a starting price of $69 each/100.
