Jan. 1, 2001

The RL4 CompactPCI processor board features a Motorola PowerPC 7400/75x with processing speeds up to 500 MHz, a 32-bit interface and PCI-to-PCI bridging for increased application throughput. With a flexible I/O and memory configuration, the board is used in embedded industrial automation, medical, scientific, imaging, telecomm, military and aerospace applications. Among the board's other features and peripherals are 10/100Base Fast Ethernet, RTC, watchdog and four counter timers, four serial channels with RS-232 and RS-422/485 interfaces, 32 KB of non-volatile SRAM, a temperature sensor, PMC expansion, up to 128 MB of SDRAM and 48 MB of flash. Rugged and military needs are addressed with optional conduction cooling and extended temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, and increased shock and vibration immunity with the use of stiffener bars and wedge locks. The RL4 is available starting at $2,295 each/100. Software available for the RL4 includes monitor/diagnostics, VxWorks and LynxOS.
