12-Bit PCI DAC Boards Provide Up To Six Analog Outputs

April 1, 2001

Three PCI-based d/a converter boards, the PCI-DA12-2, -4, and -6, have been developed to offer users two, four and six analog outputs, respectively. These half-sized converter boards provide a 12-bit resolution and output voltages of 0V to 2.5V, 0V to 5V, 0V to 10V, and ±2.5V, ±5V and ±10V. A 4 to 20 mA current-loop output is also selectable.
Voltage range is selected via a three-position DIP switch on each d/a converter channel. After the desired values have been loaded, a software command switches the reference voltage to its normal value. The cards are 152.4 mm long and come with a CD-ROM containing set-up and calibration programs, samples in Pascal and C for DOS, C++ Builder, Delphi, Visual Basic, and Visual C++ for Windows 95/98/NT. Prices for the PCI-DA12-2, PCI-DA12-4, and PCI-DA12-6 are $359, $449, and $529, respectively.
