The FTP-608MCL100 series of battery-driven thermal printer mechanisms features detachable platens that simplify paper loading and printer accessibility. Available in 2" and 3" versions, the printers have a maximum output speed of 60 mm and a resolution of 8 dots/mm.
Both units measure 15.5 mm x 33mm. The 2" mechanism measures 70.3 mm wide and weighs 46 grams, while the 3" device is 92.3 mm wide and weighs 53 grams. They support a variety of alphanumeric, international and special characters and accommodate 60 to 80 µm thick paper stock, including high-sensitivity, standard and medium- and long-life storage media.
Other features include an operating temperature range of 0°C to 40°C, a head life of 100 million pulses or 50 km of paper, and an operating voltage range of 4.2V to 8.5V with a peak current of 1A. The printers also offer auto paper feed, as well as paper out, head overheat, and head-up detection. Both parallel and serial interface boards are available. Pricing for a 2" mechanism is $31.25 each/1,000.
