The low, 4-mm profile N-15 series of sensor/potentiometers span a 360° mechanical angle and a 340° electrical angle. Available with a custom 1% absolute linearity, the sensor/pots have a specified life of 100,000 cycles and operate at temperatures of from -40°C to 120°C.
Produced using FR4 pc board substrate material, the potentiometers can be customized to suit specific applications. Available options include laser trimming, geared rotors to increase the electrical angle beyond 360°, detents, special mechanical angles, step curves with silver dead zones, restrictive curves, and custom tolerances. Custom applications such as rotary switch, absolute encoder, or a combination of switching functions along with a potentiometer are also offered.
Available with leads or in surface-mount packaging, the devices cost $0.60 each in production quantities.
